Harrisburg: Stormy Weather Pattern Resumes Monday

After welcoming a break from the rain this weekend, the stormy weather pattern will resume around Harrisburg on Monday.
Showers and thunderstorms will once again be around daily Monday through midweek, causing those with outdoor plans to once again to prepare for possible delays and consider places to seek shelter.
Storms Returning to the Northeast
Remember that as soon as thunder is heard, the danger of being struck by lightning is present.
Between Monday and Tuesday, the latter will be the most active day. Thunder will actually be largely absent on Monday.

Humidity will also be on the rise with the thunderstorm activity through Tuesday, creating a sticky feel to the air.
The clouds and unsettled weather, however, will work to keep high temperatures to the lower 80s F.

"Even though there will be showers and thunderstorms across the Northeast [north of Washington, D.C.] on Tuesday, the severe weather threat is low," stated AccuWeather Meteorologist Dave Samuhel.
A slow-moving storm system will keep showers and thunderstorms around through Wednesday, continuing to wreak havoc with those with outdoor plans.

Drier air should work into the Harrisburg area later in the week but likely only for a brief time.
