The recent stretch of dry weather will come to an end across the Seattle area as rain makes a return for the weekend.
"Moisture returns to the area, bringing periods of rain to all of western Washington and some snow to the Cascades," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.
Umbrellas and raincoats will be put to good use once again to round out the week and to kick off the weekend.

Wet weather can be expected through Friday with temperatures in the low 50s. Snow levels will be around 7,000 feet through the end of the week, he added.
Occasional rain will continue into Saturday with warmer air blasting the region, keeping temperatures high through the weekend.
Those with outdoor plans can expect more sunshine late in the weekend, and pleasant conditions.
