On one of the coldest nights in months, a huge fire tore through downtown Dubois, Wyoming, Tuesday night, leaving historic buildings charred and over a dozen businesses destroyed.
KGWN-TV reports that the fire broke out before 7 p.m. and burned between at least four buildings.
Firefighters battled the flames in subzero conditions; Overnight temperatures dipped 25 degrees below zero. According to AP, the severe cold froze the crew's firefighting equipment.

"It was horrendous for them. They were, as usual, heroes," Dubois Mayor Twila Blakeman said.
Despite this setback, however, firefighters managed to extinguish the large flames by Wednesday morning and prevent further damage to the picturesque town.
Dubois, which is located in western Wyoming, is home to 1,000 people.
Kate Wiltshire, a witness to the fire, said that Dubois' residents came together to help business owners sift through the damage and salvage merchandise after the flames fizzled.
Among the businesses damaged were a fly fishing shop and gallery, according to AP.
The cause of the fire is still unknown. No injuries were reported.
