Refreshing Weather This Weekend as Nationals Return to DC

July 17,2014; 8:49PM,EDT

Weather conditions will continue to improve in Washington, D.C., as the storm system that brought heavy rain and high winds to the Atlantic coast earlier this week moves out to sea.
It will be notably more refreshing as cooler, less humid air begins to settle into the city and especially the northern and western suburbs into Friday.

Temperatures will be slightly below average through the end of the week, but a warming trend will occur over this weekend as the Nationals face-off against the Milwaukee Brewers at Nationals Park.

The odds are against a thunderstorm Friday night, and activity on Sunday is likely to widely separated and limited to the afternoon and evening. Saturday night's game is forecast to be mostly clear with falling into the 70s F.
AccuWeather meteorologists will be monitoring an area of disturbed weather and tropical moisture along the Atlantic Coast this weekend. There is a chance that this moisture could spread a period of clouds and rain to the beaches from the mid-Atlantic to Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
