After a bout of downpours that inundated roadways across northeastern Texas, drier weather will return to the region by next week, with temperatures climbing into the high 90s.
A cool night is in store for Dallas, Texas tonight, with record-breaking low temperatures expected. Lows will bottom out around 66 F, which would break the record of 68 F last reached in 1990.
For the weekend's start, dry weather is in store as temperatures begin to climb to normal Saturday.

Some sunshine and clouds are in store, but the weather will remain dry for those with outdoor weekend activities scheduled.
"The weekend looks dry across the area with temperatures increasing closer to normal by Sunday afternoon," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.

By midweek, it will remain sunny and humid as temperatures hover near the 100 F mark.
