NASCAR fans attending Saturday night's Coke Zero 400 at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, may want to keep an umbrella handy.
AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Erik Pindrock said a weak disturbance near the northern coast of Florida, that has brought some thunderstorms to the area this afternoon, will gradually move farther away from Florida early this evening.

However, for the race, Pindrock said there will still be a chance for a lingering shower or storm to the west of the racetrack. Pindrock also stated that the best chance for rain will be during the early portion of the race.
Around the time of the race, which begins at 7:30 p.m., Pindrock said it will be around 77 degrees along with a seasonably humid air mass.
