Boston: Clouds to Return This Weekend With Rain Possible on Cape Cod

July 18,2014; 4:40PM,EDT

While clouds will return to Boston this weekend, rain will stay away from the city and points to the north and west.
A wedge of dry air along the I-95 corridor will sett the stage for a variety of outdoor activities like when the Red Sox take on the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park and the Cupcake Walking Tour in South End and Back Bay this weekend.

Canadian air with low humidity will allow temperatures to be below average for the middle of July and that trend will stick around for the weekend. Much warmer and more humid conditions will return by the middle of next week.

AccuWeather meteorologists are monitoring an area of disturbed weather and tropical moisture along the Atlantic coast.
By Sunday, the coastal system and a disturbance moving up from the Tennessee Valley will spread more cloud cover over the region. Rain is possible on Sunday across the cape and islands. Depending on the strength of the tropical system, winds may pick up and seas may build as well by Sunday afternoon.
