The mild and dry weather felt across the United Kingdom and western Europe the past several days will continue through the upcoming weekend.
Following months of stormy weather, high pressure brought this stretch of unseasonable warmth and plenty of sunshine to the United Kingdom, Ireland and western Europe.
A wet February for much of the U.K. came on the heels of record-setting rainfall earlier this winter. In the U.K., December and January were the wettest on record.

Along with the unseasonable warmth, skies will be partly to mostly sunny each day through Friday.
A frontal boundary is expected to pass east of the United Kingdom and France this weekend, bringing a shot of much colder air and gusty winds from Scandinavia through northern Europe. However, high pressure will likely continue to provide dry conditions along with unseasonable warmth to western Europe.
