Following another blast of arctic air, temperatures will lag below typical normals for March this week.
After a frigid Monday, temperatures will plummet even lower overnight Monday into Tuesday. Temperatures will fall into the single digits overnight, creating an environment for cold-related illnesses for anyone outdoors.

Temperatures will hover around 20 F by daytime Tuesday despite some period of sun. So far this March, temperatures in Minneapolis have been nearly eight degrees below normal.

By midweek, temperatures will rise to near normal, reaching into the low 40s on Wednesday.
However, temperatures will drop yet again to near zero for Thursday and Friday.

The city's next chance for precipitation will come Thursday with rain and snow possibilities in the forecast for the daytime hours.
A warmup will take place in the city Saturday and by Sunday temperatures will near 60 F and sunshine will grace Minneapolis.
