March 3,2014; 7:33PM,EST

After a bout of heavy rains and thunderstorms, Los Angeles will see calmer skies and above-average temperatures for the first week of March.
Throughout the weekend, the city was hit with more than 2 inches of rain.
"That's a pretty big rain event for L.A.," AccuWeather meteorologist Erik Pindrock said. "There was also some localized severe weather events."

As the week moves forward, drier weather is in store, but cloudy skies will remain Tuesday and Wednesday with a chance for sun later in the day.

By Wednesday, temperatures will rebound into the mid-60s.
"Looking ahead, there will not be much if any precipitation in the area, Pindrock said. "It will be drier for the rest of the week with some low clouds and fog, but mostly in the early morning hours."
As temperatures rise throughout the later half of week, above-average temperatures in the high 60s and high 70s will continue into the weekend.

It seems like a never-ending winter in Chicago where another snowstorm created lots of shoveling and scraping.
