Snow and ice will continue to expand to the south and east through Monday from the Plains to the mid-Atlantic. The threat for ice exists southward to northern Louisiana and South Carolina.
The storm will cause major air and traffic disruptions, as many of the nation's largest hubs will be in the path of the storm throughout the weekend.
While disruptive snow will spread from Oklahoma to the Ohio Valley, the heaviest snow--with amounts of 6 inches or so--will unfold from the West Virginia mountains to northern and central Virginia to southern New Jersey.
This includes Washington, D.C., Harrisonburg, Va., Philadelphia, Dover, Del., and Atlantic City, N.J.
