Despite some recent rounds of rain, Los Angeles remains in the tight grasp of severe drought, with no additional relief in sight in the coming week.
High temperatures will stay in the lower 70s through the remainder of the week. Temperatures are forecast to climb throughout the weekend, reaching within a few degrees of 90 on Sunday.
With limited cloud coverage this week, the sun's intensity will make AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures feel several degrees warmer than they actually are.

Each day early in the week will feature some occasional rounds of passing clouds, particularly in the morning hours, but by the early afternoon even more abundant sunshine will prevail. Late week will see more widespread sun for the area.
Overnight low temperatures will range from the lower to middle 50s this week with a bit more cloud coverage than the daytime hours.
The next chance for measurable rain will likely not be until the end of the month; possibly even longer.
The drought has taken a heavy toll on local farmers and crop growth. After 2013 finished as the driest year on record for the state, it will take significant rain falls to bring the area back to average.
