A slight spike in temperatures will arrive in the city right in time for the first official day of the spring season, March 20, 2013.
Jumping nearly 15 degrees from Monday to Tuesday, temperatures will rise into the 40s where they will remain through Saturday.
Despite some warmth during the days, overnight temperatures will remain at or below freezing. Those outdoors during the overnight hours should bundle up, as cold-related illnesses are possible.

Variably cloudy skies will last through Friday with a chance of some rain showers dampening the city on Wednesday and Friday.
After temperatures drop below freezing Wednesday night, some morning snow flurries are possible Thursday morning on the first official day of spring.
To start the weekend, some sunshine will peek through the clouds on Saturday making this day the nicest of the bunch for the week.
By Sunday, temperatures will plummet again to almost freezing, where they will remain through midweek.
