The threat of severe weather will shift over the northern Plains for the second half of the week after focusing on the East and Midwest on Monday and Tuesday.
Severe thunderstorms will make an appearance on a daily basis through Friday, putting some cities at risk multiple days in a row.
The first of several rounds of severe weather in the region will occur into Wednesday night, threatening a large swath of the region extending from parts of Kansas through the Dakotas.
Damaging wind gusts past 60 mph, flooding downpours, and frequent lightning are expected to be the most widespread dangers from the midweek storms before they taper off late Wednesday night.
