Weather Underground Forecast for Saturday,April 4,2015

A low pressure system will trek across the Northeast on Saturday, while a cold front will deteriorate over the West Coast.

An area of low pressure will slide northeastward across the coast of New England on Saturday. This system will usher a mixture of rain and snow across the Mid-Atlantic and southern New England. Light to moderate snow will affect the interior Mid-Atlantic, while moderate to heavy snow is expected across northern New England. A cold frontal boundary associated with this system will extend south southwestward across the Eastern Seaboard and the northern Gulf of Mexico. Moisture will continue to pool northward from the Gulf of Mexico, fueling showers and thunderstorms across the southern Mid-Atlantic, the Southeast, the Deep South and the southern Plains. In addition, a separate system will bring chances of mixed precipitation to the northern Plains and the upper Midwest. High pressure will keep conditions mostly clear across the central Rockies and the central Plains.

Meanwhile, a weakening cold front will push eastward across the Pacific Northwest and the upper Intermountain West. This frontal boundary will generate light to moderate rain across Washington, Oregon and northern California. In addition, a mixture of rain and high elevation snow showers can be expected over the northern Rockies. Conditions will remain warm and dry across the Desert Southwest on Saturday. .
