REPORTS: Severe Storms Advance Eastward After Striking Central US With Deadly Tornadoes

April 10,2015; 10:40AM,EDT

As of 6:32 a.m. CDT, this blog is no longer live. Please see below for reports from the severe weather outbreak.

The severe thunderstorms that developed in the Plains on Thursday afternoon are continuing to track eastward, moving into the Ohio and Tennessee valleys.
The worst of the severe weather is over after several tornadoes touched down in Illinois and eastern Iowa.
While the tornado danger has passed, damaging winds and hail are still possible into Friday morning as the line of thunderstorms continues to move east.
Communities reaching from Mississippi to Ohio should be on alert for these gusty storms through the Friday morning commute.
