Detroit: Easter Weekend to Start Wet, White; May End the Same

A storm will affect the Detroit area spanning Friday into Friday night with potential travel delays.
The storm will draw in enough chilly air to allow snow to mix in at the tail end Friday night, which could cover the ground in some areas. Motorists should be on the lookout for slushy and slippery spots.
After temperatures slide through the 50s on Friday, they will dip into the 20s Saturday morning. Saturday afternoon will bring clearing but also a gusty, chilly wind.

Another system will take aim on part of the Great Lakes region during the second half of the holiday weekend.
A narrow zone of precipitation is likely with that system, which could contain some wet snow. A southward shift in track of that system by 50 miles or so could bring rain, wet snow and lower temperatures to the region on Easter Sunday.

Just south of the storm track, dry and warm weather will hold over southwestern Michigan and northwestern Ohio.
During next week, warmth from the Southern states will chip away at lingering chill around the Great Lakes, away from days with rainfall.
