Though it will be a mild week for the Chicago area, thunderstorms, showers and even the chance for snow loom late in the week.
After a high in the mid-60s on Thursday, showers and thunderstorms will roll in. Those looking to get outdoors may want to wait for the weekend.
Rain will continue on Friday before a gusty north wind brings cooler air to the city. As temperatures drop into the mid-40s F, rain may transition to snow for a time, though no accumulation is in the forecast.

By Saturday, the high temperatures will rebound into the lower 50s, allowing the city to dry out somewhat. The afternoon will provide the best opportunity of the weekend to get outdoors for Easter egg hunts and other holiday festivities.
Sunday will be slightly warmer but will feature cloudy skies and showers at times.
