A surge of milder air will bring the warmest air since mid-November to the United Kingdom this week.
Storms from the Atlantic Ocean will track north and west of Scotland, and much warmer air will pull northward.
High temperatures will reach 4-8 C (7-14 F) above normal over most of the U.K.

Dense fog caused travel problems across southern England on Tuesday; however, stronger winds will limit the threat of fog the next several days.
In many locations including London, Manchester, Edinburgh and Belfast, high temperatures will climb as high as 14-15 C (57-59 F) on Wednesday. Similar temperatures will continue across southern England on Thursday.
Overnight lows will resemble conditions from late November from Manchester to London, when a cold snap kept daytime temperatures near minus 4 C (25 F).
The normal high temperature in early December is around 8 C (46 F).
Even though the warmest days will be Wednesday through Friday, warmth will linger over the weekend and into early next week.
While the warmth will be a pleasant change for many, rain may fall at times.
