NOAA's hurricane hunters fly over rain bands from Tropical Storm Arthur off the coast of Florida on Wednesday, July 2, 2014.
As Arthur continues to strengthen and churn in the Atlantic, East Coast beach-goers should prepare for dangerous surf, rip currents and periods of wet weather over the Fourth of July.
The first named tropical storm of the season in the Atlantic, Arthur is expected to hinder holiday plans for millions from Daytona Beach, Florida, up through Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
