Warmer and more humid air will surge into the Boston into midweek but will not stick around long.
The wedge of high pressure that promoted a mostly rain-free weekend will slip off the coast by Tuesday.
As this happens the door will be open for warmer and more humid air to surge northward.
Humidity will steadily increase Tuesday and Wednesday as temperatures soar well into the 80s.
Wednesday is shaping up to be the hottest day of the week with AccuWeather RealFeel® temperatures reaching well into the 90s during the afternoon.
A breeze should help keep temperatures in check along southwest-facing beaches.
The combination of the warmth and humidity will create challenges and hazards for those who must engage in strenuous labor and those with respiratory issues.

Dry weather should continue to hold through Wednesday as spotty afternoon thunderstorms erupt around the Appalachians.
A cold front will return a shower or thunderstorm Wednesday night through Thursday as it sweeps away the surge of warmth and humidity.
A fresh shot of cooler and less humid air from Canada in the front's wake will lead to a pleasant Friday and start to the next weekend.
