From the Midwest to the Northeast, and even parts of the South, snow has been abundant this winter. But which cities have been the snowiest of the 2013-2014 winter season?(MORE: Cities Where Winter 2013-2014 is a Top 5 Snowiest)
The National Weather Service in Billings, Mont. has provided the answer with a list of the snowiest cities so far this winter that have a population of 100,000 or greater.
Ranked No. 5 on that list is Billings, which has seen its third snowiest winter on record.
- Snow this season: 91.5 inches
- Compared to average: 250 percent of average snowfall or 54.9 inches above average
- Snowiest season on record: 98.7 inches in 1996-1997
- At least four inches of snow has fallen on 10 different days this winter, beating the previous record of seven days set in 1984-1985
