March 2007 came to an end on a violent note across the Plains as a massive tornado outbreak erupted. More than 80 tornadoes were sighted. The outbreak was the largest March outbreak in recorded history across the Oklahoma and Texas panhandles. In addition to the tornadoes, the outbreak produced severe thunderstorms with hail, damaging winds and flash flooding.
