Seattle: Temperatures to Remain Below Average

March 19,2014; 8:05PM,EDT

Rain will linger in Seattle Thursday with temperatures hovering around 50 degrees.
Temperatures will remain around 5 degrees below average through the remainder of the workweek.
"On Thursday, clouds will linger with a chance for a shower or two," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist, Brian Edwards said.
The heaviest of the precipitation in the region Thursday will be along the Cascade Range with light to occasionally moderate snow, he said.

Snow levels in the Cascade Range are low at approximately 1,000 feet, he added, which is well below the pass level.
"Travelers coming across Snoqualmie Pass or Stevens Pass will likely encounter snow covered roads and slippery road conditions," he said.
Despite cooler weather, sunshine will return Friday as the weekend approaches.
"On Friday, high pressure will build in the area with more sunshine," Edwards said. "By Saturday, temperatures will be closer to average."
Temperatures will continue to rise into the late weekend and early next week,
"For Sunday and into Monday, we could approach the low 60s," he said.
