LIVE: Flight Delays Mount as First Major Storm of March Begins

Old Man Winter is at it again, as the first snowstorm of March will impact more than 100 million people Saturday night through Monday morning.
A swath of snow and ice will started in the Midwest Saturday and will spread eastward impacting much of the mid-Atlantic and the Northeast through Monday morning.
The storm will cause major air and traffic disruptions, as many of the nation's largest hubs will be in the path of the storm throughout the weekend.

"The prime zone for the heaviest snowfall will be the corridor from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C.," AccuWeather Meteorologist Brian Edwards said.
The snowstorm will dump anywhere from one to 12 inches on cities in its path, including Kansas City, Omaha, St. Louis, Chicago, Indianapolis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York and Boston.

7:35 p.m. EST Saturday: Freezing drizzle in Ashland, Mo., reports an NWS spotter.
7:00 p.m. EST Saturday:
6:30 p.m. EST Saturday: Five inches of snow reported northwest of Des Moines, Iowa, in Rippey, according to an NWS spotter.
6:00 p.m. EST Saturday: Flight delays at Chicago O'Hare International airport due to snow and ice, reports the FAA.
5:20 p.m. EST Saturday: More than 4,000 flight delays nationally with nearly 650 delays and cancellations into and out of Chicago O'Hare International, according to FlightStats.
