Colder air is headed back to Harrisburg this week, along with the possibility of snow.
The 50-degree warmth will end with this weekend. Waves of arctic air and the polar vortex sinking southward will then make for a colder end to February.
The first blast of cold air will come on Monday after a band of wet snow, which will start as rain, moves through Sunday night.
The snow will leave a fresh coating to an inch in some areas, mainly on non-paved surfaces.
After the snow ends and temperatures fall, residents and motorists should watch for wet and slushy areas to turn icy around daybreak Monday.
Temperatures later Monday will be held to near 35 F, which is 15 to 20 degrees below Sunday's mild high.
