Cool weather is in store for Atlanta for the second half of the week.
While the area will not experience the blast of cold weather and snow from earlier in the winter, the polar vortex will funnel some chilly air this far south.
There is a chance of a shower on Tuesday as a weak storm passes by to the north.
By midweek, temperatures will drop.
Highs on Wednesday are forecast to be in the 40s. A storm is forecast to slice to the south and east on Wednesday with rain.
