Pennsylvania
A handful of school districts in Pennsylvania closed Monday as freezing rain slickened roads in the northeastern corner of the state.The National Weather Service issued a freezing rain advisory for Monday for most of eastern and northcentral Pennsylvania and says there will be a light glaze of ice up to a few tenths of an inch of ice before temperatures rise above freezing.
Montana
A 23-year-old man has died, and four others have been injured, after a car accident on weather-slick roads in west central Montana Sunday afternoon, the Helena Independent Record reports. The man was riding in a car with three females when the driver lost control amid scattered snow and ice and collided with an SUV heading in the opposite direction.The name of the victim has not been released pending notification of family.
Oregon
With temperatures hovering right around the freezing mark and snow continuing to fall, the National Weather Service is warning drivers to be cautious. Overnight, several roads were closed due to low visibility and drifting snow, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
