Following one of the warmest Thanksgivings in Chicago's history, much colder and windy weather is in store for the city Black Friday and into the weekend.
A cold front began ushering in chilly air Thursday night. The high temperature of Friday, in the upper 40s, was set shortly after midnight. Temperatures fell into the 30s through the remainder of the morning and daytime.
Increasing winds gusting to 30 mph at times has been making it feel 10-15 degrees colder than actual temperatures.
Cold, brisk weather will persist on Saturday. The high will fail to climb out of the mid-30s. Once again, brisk winds will make it feel more like the 20s.
