Following a brief shot of cooler air on Thursday and Friday, a surge of warm air will arrive in Germany this weekend.
Western and southern Germany will feel the biggest change in temperature as highs climb to 19-22 C (67-72 F) by Sunday.
Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich will all record temperatures 6-10 C (12-18 F) above normal this weekend with continued warmth expected into Monday.
Partly to mostly sunny skies are expected Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
The warmth will not be as pronounced across northern and eastern Germany this weekend; however, temperatures will rise each day from Friday through Sunday.
High temperatures will reach 16-18 C from Hamburg to Berlin and Dresden on Sunday. Normal high temperatures are around 11 C (52 F) in early April.

Dry weather will accompany the unseasonable warmth along with a mixture of clouds and sunshine.
Northern and eastern Germany will feel the most significant warmth on Monday as temperatures approach 21 C (70 F).
A storm will arrive from Tuesday into Wednesday and bring a threat of showers and thunderstorms throughout Germany.
Temperatures will remain well above normal during the middle of the week despite the increase in clouds and rainfall.
