The warm and dry start to April across Germany will not last through the Easter holiday weekend.
Cooler air will settle across Germany during the first half of the week and will remain into the weekend.
Along with the change to cooler weather, the threat of rain will increase just in time for holiday travel and plans.
Friday will be the best day for travel across Germany as largely dry weather prevails ahead of an approaching storm system.
There can be a few showers across the north; however, most locations will remain dry and any showers that do occur will last 15 minutes or less.
This storm system will bring periods of rain throughout northern Germany on Saturday with showers extending southward to Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich.
The steady rain will shift southward across central and southern Germany on Saturday night and could linger into Sunday morning across areas from Stuttgart to Munich.

Showers and cold, gusty winds will occur throughout Germany on Sunday. Frequent gusts to 50 km/h (30 mph) are expected.
“Anyone with outdoor plans on Sunday will want to be prepared with jackets and umbrellas,” said AccuWeather Meteorologist Tyler Roys.
Despite temperatures within a few degrees of normal, the wet, cloudy and windy conditions will make it feel more like March than mid-April.
The weather will remain unsettled on Monday with additional showers across the country.
