Tropical Storm Orlene No Threat to Land in the Eastern Pacific

Tropical Storm Orlene formed in the open Pacific Ocean on Sunday morning and is expected to continue moving away from land over the next several days.
Here's the latest from the National Hurricane Center:
  • Tropical Storm Orlene was located nearly 700 miles southwest of the southern tip of Baja California, as of Sunday evening.
  • Orlene is forecast to become a hurricane on Monday.
  • This system is no threat to any land areas.
