Ian Becomes Post-Tropical in the North Atlantic

Tropical Storm Ian formed late Monday morning in the central Atlantic Ocean, well to the northeast of the Lesser Antilles and southeast of Bermuda.
Ian was never a threat to any land areas and it transitioned to a post-tropical storm on Friday morning.

  • Ian was located about 1185 miles south-southwest of Reykjavik, Iceland, as of late Friday morning and it has transitioned to a post-tropical storm.
  • There will be no more advisories issued for Ian.
