It happened Wednesday in the town of Fuzhou, the capital of southeastern China's Fujian Province, according to CBS News. With millions of Chinese residents taking time off to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, preparations were underway for the massive event – including in Fuzhou, where the large inflatable was supposed to be used as decoration for the celebration, Time.com reported.
Instead, it was sent rolling down the street, briefly swallowing up cars and even people as it careened out of control.

The moon balloon did not cause any damage or injure anyone during its wind-aided march through Fuzhou, CBS News also said.
Fujian Province did, however, endure a very strong punch from the typhoon as it made landfall in China with sustained winds well over 100 mph. The storm has been responsible for at least seven deaths in China, and nine others are missing. One death and 38 injuries were reported in southern Taiwan, which was clobbered by Meranti before it moved west into China.
Chinese officials said Meranti destroyed at least 1,600 homes in the country, and more than 33 million residents were displaced.
