A storm will cross Germany on Tuesday and Wednesday with showers and thunderstorms, but the weather will improve for Ascension Day on Thursday.
High pressure over the North Sea will usher drier air into the country on Thursday, resulting in a pleasant day for most areas.
The largely dry weather will be welcomed by fathers across the country as Thursday also marks Father’s Day.
Outdoor activities will be uninterrupted by the weather, and no weather-related travel delays are expected.
While the odd shower cannot be ruled out from Dresden to Nuremberg and Munich, most of the day will be dry.
“The most likely time for a shower will be during the morning in southeastern Germany,” said AccuWeather Meteorologist Brett Rossio.
Any shower will generally last less than 15 minutes and be followed by dry weather and some sunshine.
