A surge of warmth from the Mediterranean will reach Germany on Friday and last into the weekend.
High pressure to the east of Germany and a low pressure system over the United Kingdom will combine to pull unseasonably warm air northward across the country.
The result will be temperatures more typical of mid-April instead of early March.
High temperatures will range from 12-14 degrees Celsius (53-57 degrees Fahrenheit) from Frankfurt to Stuttgart and Munich.
Meanwhile, highs will range from 9-11 C (48-52 F) in Hamburg, Berlin and Dresden.
Largely dry weather is expected throughout Germany on Friday with intervals of clouds and sunshine, although a shower could briefly dampen the afternoon in the northwest.
More widespread warmth will prevail on Saturday with all of Germany experiencing temperatures 5-8 C (9-15 F) above normal. High temperatures will generally range from 13-16 C (56-60 F).
