A surge of mild air will take hold across Germany later this week before a potent storm brings wet and windy weather for the weekend.
A brief shot of cooler air on Tuesday will yield to increasing warmth each day from Wednesday through Friday.
Temperatures will climb to 7-9 degrees Celsius (44-48 degrees Fahrenheit) throughout the country on Wednesday. A steady climb of temperatures will result in highs averaging 10-13 C (50-56 F) on Friday.
Normal high temperatures range from around 5 C (41 F) in the north and east to 8 C (46 F) in the south and west this time of the year.
Despite the increase in temperatures, clouds and several rounds of light rainfall are expected from Wednesday through Friday.
While heavy rainfall is not expected, most locations will receive a period of rain Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday night followed by a more prolonged period of rain Thursday afternoon into Friday.
Anyone with outdoor plans will want to be prepared with jackets and umbrellas.

Stormy weather will continue into Saturday with several hours of rain accompanied by powerful winds.
Widespread wind gusts over 50 km/h (31 mph) are expected with localized gusts approaching 80 km/h (50 mph).
A period of more tranquil weather is expected to return to Germany early next week.
