Invest 96L Will Bring Rain to Cabo Verde; Could be the Next Tropical Depression

September 17,2016
A tropical wave continues to slowly develop in the far eastern Atlantic near Africa, and it has a high chance of formation in the next five days.
Wind shear could trouble this tropical wave, designated Invest 96L by the National Hurricane Center, but the environment should improve and become more supportive of tropical cyclone formation early next week.

Current Forecast Models for Invest 96L
Invest 96L will move northwestward around a ridge of high pressure located in the northern Atlantic, coincidently the same ridge that is steering Karl westward.
