Preparations are underway as the final chapter of Winter Storm Regis gears up to deliver a swath of snow from parts of the coastal mid-Atlantic states to New England Sunday night into Monday. Ahead of the forecasted snowy arrival of spring, Boston Public Schools announced Sunday that it would be closed Monday.

Massachusetts
Boston Public Schools announced it would be closed Monday, and that there would be no bus service.
"An important
factor in this decision is the timing of the snowstorm, with several
inches of snow expected to fall during the morning commute. Because
safety is a top priority of Boston Public Schools, Mayor Walsh and Superintendent Chang made the decision to close schools on Monday," said a statement on the Boston Public Schools website.
Parking bans and snow emergencies went into effect for Milton and Salem ahead of the storm, according to CBS Boston.Crews in Chelsea are preparing ahead of time for the snow and the salt pile in Chelsea is ready for crews to salt the roads, reports WHDH.
Colorado
More than 10 inches of snow had fallen by Friday morning in Boulder, according to National Weather Service reports. Across most of eastern Colorado, roads were snow-covered and slushy, which could lead to travel problems on Friday.Multiple crashes due to icy roads were reported Saturday morning, reports Denver7. Numerous accidents and icy roads led Denver police to close the southbound I-25 lanes shortly before 8 a.m.
A snow plow flipped onto its side Friday morning in Denver's Green Valley Ranch neighborhood, CBS Denver reported. There were no injuries, but the plow remained on its side for a few hours, the report added.

Wyoming
Heavy snow forced the Department of Transportation to close a stretch of Interstate 80 from Laramie to Cheyenne on Thursday – nearly 50 miles of roadway.Although snowy conditions were expected to continue into Friday in the area, the interstate was reopened Thursday evening, the AP reported.
