Chicago: Waves of Cold Air to Persist Into Weekend

Frigid air will keep its grip on Chicago through the rest of the week, and the city could get some brief snowy episodes as well.
While highs will be in the 30s on Wednesday, it will turn much colder by Thursday with gusty winds and highs hovering in the low teens. AccuWeather.com RealFeel® Temperatures will approach 10 below zero F.
A normal high temperature for this time of year in the city is in the mid-30s.

A clipper storm could bring some flurries to the city on Friday as temperatures rebound slightly into the low 20s.

Over the weekend, a second round of cold air will drop temperatures even lower, with highs around 10 F on Saturday and in the low teens on Sunday. Strong winds will remain with winds out of the northwest around 30 mph on Saturday
