A thunderstorm along with heavy rain could lead to flooding in urban areas in and around the city. It will also be breezy throughout the day with the potential for wind gusts up to 20 mph.
However, the rain will likely subside overnight and be gone by Sunday.
Temperatures will drop into the upper 40s on Sunday, and despite the breeze, the sunshine will return to Dallas.
Sunny skies are in the forecast from Sunday through next weekend, including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
