Following an occasionally blustery and chilly weekend, Arctic air will arrive in Detroit early this week.
The Arctic air will dive into the region with the arrival of a cold front on Monday morning.
The arrival of cold air will bring rain and snow on Monday. Plummeting temperatures will bring the risk of a rapid freeze Monday night, so commuters are urged to use caution.
"A bit of rain and snow is in store throughout the day Monday, but little or no accumulation is expected," AccuWeather.com Meteorologist Andy Mussoline said. "Any wet, untreated roads can turn icy Monday night."

High temperatures will fail to climb out of the middle to upper 30s on Tuesday and Wednesday, with gusty winds contributing to AccuWeather.com RealFeel® temperatures in the mid-20 at times.
Overnight lows will plummet into the 20s, and it may feel more like the teens, so people will want to bundle up.
