The upcoming weekend will not be the best for outdoor activities, but there is a chance for improvement on Sunday.
First a push of warmer and slightly more humid air may bring spotty showers and thunderstorms to the region on Friday, then a slow-moving cool front will bring more general showers and storms on Saturday.
Prior to the unsettled weather to end the week, most areas will be rain free on Thursday with at least partial sunshine and temperatures rebounding to near 80 degrees.

There is a chance of patchy fog along the rivers for the Thursday morning commute.
As long as the front keeps moving to the east on Sunday, the weather will improve for the latter part of the weekend.

However, indications area storm will try to form along the front, causing it to hangup over the central Appalachians, which would prolong the chance of rain in the area.
Folks heading to PNC Park for the Pirates and Reds series Friday, Saturday and Sunday should expect some rainfall during at least part of their games.
