DC: Next Chance of Rain Late Saturday

An extended period of dry weather will continue into part of Saturday around Washington, D.C. The next chance of rain is toward Saturday evening.
Fog may start the day along some of the river valleys of the Northeast Thursday.
Sunshine and a warming trend will take the Washington, D.C. area through each day of the balance of the week.
Temperatures are forecast to climb well into the 70s Thursday and will reach the 80s on Friday.

If you are heading to Nationals Park, the Saturday and Sunday games with the Marlins will bring a risk of a downpour. Likewise, the Lions/Redskins game at FedEx Field Sunday may include a thunderstorm downpour.

How quickly and where a southern storm forms and tracks along an approaching cool front will determine the timing and intensity of additional rain during the first part of next week.
