Tropical disturbances from the Caribbean bring the potential for drenching rain and moisture for parts of the southern United States, including coastal Texas and Florida. For Dallas, the tropical moisture with the biggest impact will come from Manuel.
A cold front will move into the city Friday, bringing with it the potential for some much-needed rain.

Temperatures are forecast to drop into the mid-80s Friday after the front passes.
Periods of rain and thunderstorms occurred Thursday afternoon and evening but the greatest chance for heavy rain will be centered around Friday.
"A cold front will come into Dallas on Friday, bringing a decent chance of showers and thunderstorms," AccuWeather Expert Senior Meteorologist Dan Kottlowski said.
Lower temperatures in the high 70s will accompany heavy rain and a thunderstorm Friday afternoon and evening.
This front may bring enough rain to help relieve the city's drought conditions but it will not bring any prolonged rains to the city as the front will move out of the city late Friday night.
After departing Dallas, the front will move to the southeastern coast of Texas and then the Gulf Coast on Saturday.
Temperatures will return to the 80s on Saturday and Sunday for the city's 15th annual Denton Blues Festival in Quarkertown Park.
Saturday's skies will be partly sunny during the day and clear during the evening for the Oak Cliff Cultural Center's Fall Gallery Walk and Bike Warm.
For the first official day of fall on Sunday, skies will be bright and sunny with high temperatures reaching 88 degrees.
