For the first day of fall on Sunday, Detroit will be dry and cool.
A cool front brought rain more 0.75" of rain to the area through early Saturday morning.
But in the wake of this front, a high pressure will bring cool autumn-like temperatures to the region for the start of the new week, with temperatures in the low to mid 60s.
High pressure, over the Great Lakes will shift north of the Detroit area Monday and Tuesday, bringing warmer temperatures.
Sunshine is expected to continue through the middle of the week as the mercury rises to the mid 70s, just a few degrees above the average for the end of September.
High pressure currently looks to hold over the area through the week, with the next chance of wet weather towards the end of the week.
