Chicago-land temperatures will rebound strongly this week as a big warm-up spreads over the nation's midsection.Already, as of Sunday afternoon, regional readings flirted with the
70-degree mark, a sizable leap from the chilly 50s of last Thursday and
Friday.Monday, temperatures will top at about 70 degrees, or 10 degrees
above normal, even though plentiful clouds will send a few showers this
way.Tuesday through Thursday, readings will get a further boost from
warming southerly wind flow and partial sunshine, even reaching the
upper 70s at mid week.Balmy night-times may stay in the 60s.By Friday, an abrupt turn to cool should follow a late-Thursday cold front.
