Sunday turned out to be a gorgeous day for New York City, but the nice weather will end with the weekend.
After the day started with clouds, abundant sunshine and comfortable temperatures near 70 degrees graced New York City Sunday afternoon.
Temperatures will remain mild into Monday, but sunglasses will be replaced with umbrellas.
As the storm system closing out the weekend on a windy and stormy note across the Midwest shifts eastward, clouds will block out the sun most of Monday across New York City and a couple of showers and thunderstorms will rumble in the afternoon and evening.
Sunshine will return for Tuesday, but the warmth will be gone. Temperatures will instead warm to a more seasonable high of 62 degrees.
