Strong and gusty west-northwest flow will continue today as the
pressure gradient remains tight between a departing area of low
pressure and an approaching high. Winds will be sustained around
15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph. Meanwhile, drier conditions
have moved into the region following a cold frontal passage, with
minimum RH values expected to fall into the teens to mid 20s this
afternoon. Given antecedent drought conditions and drier fuels,
expect an enhanced threat of fire spread through today.
