A stretch of mild weather will yield to rounds of rain across Germany this weekend.
The change will begin Friday as a cold front races across the country, bringing an end to the April-like warmth and unleashing gusty showers.
The combination of clouds, showers and gusty winds will make it feel much cooler compared to the recent warm spell in northern parts of the country.
Southern Germany will escape with one more unseasonably warm day as temperatures range from 15-17 C (59-63 F) in Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Nuremberg and Munich on Friday.
The weather will become even more unsettled over the weekend as rounds of rain and strong winds lash the country.
The wet weather may impact travel to and from Bundesliga matches and also deteriorate pitch conditions at any non-enclosed venues.
Periods of rain will result in a wet day across much of Germany on Saturday.
The steadiest rain will fall from Dortmund and Cologne to Nuremberg and Munich where 6-18 mm (0.24-0.71) of an inch is expected.
Gusty winds will also lash southern and western Germany where frequent gusts to 50 km/h (31 mph) are expected.
The best locations for outdoor activities will be in the northeast where morning rain will taper off to brief afternoon showers from Hamburg to Berlin.

Roles will be reversed on Sunday as the best chance to find a few hours of dry weather will be in western Germany while the northeast can expect several hours of rainfall.
Morning rain will dampen much of Germany, continuing through the afternoon in the east but tapering to occasional showers in the west.
Gusty winds will affect all of Germany with frequent gusts of 30-50 km/h (19-31 mph) and isolated gusts reaching 65 km/h (40 mph) mph in northern areas.
A significant swing in temperatures will be felt across all of Germany this weekend.
Highs will reach only 7-10 C (45-50 F) on Saturday before a modest increase to 9-12 C (48-54 F) on Sunday.
